The Strategic Relevance of Your HR Department

This month I am presenting you some thoughts about the strategic relevance of HR activities and a tool for evaluating them. HR departments and their leaders claim to have a say at the top levels of organisations. However recent surveys show that they are not considered relevant by Senior Management and it's even getting worse. The only way to escape from this dilemma is to prove strategic relevance and to align HR activities to the company strategy. If HR departments are capable in doing this, but only then, they will be a welcome partner at the table.
